“We are all experiencing so much sadness and loss on a daily basis, and I feel like we’ve gained a new appreciation for just waking up and feeling okay. The simple pleasures have become more rewarding. And we seem to be opening our eyes to so many jobs left undone, such as ensuring the longevity of our planet. We’re also witnessing the sharp divides within our ‘United’ States of America. I try not to despair, but it’s difficult when half the population thinks they know better than our scientists and doctors. It feels like we’ve forgotten how to care for one another. It’s a challenge to radiate love when there are people all around me who refuse to wear a mask, but I think that’s my job. We’ve got to start to bridge the gaps in our understanding and find ways to work with each other again.”
