Risk Factor

Surgery in 2012 to remove 3/4 of right lung due to repeated complications with pneumonia

“I had a normal life before the pandemic. With 8 years since my surgery, my lungs have adapted and can keep me going. I have an inhaler with me at all times but usually I can just power through. Since isolation, it has been nice getting to spend time with my family that I normally wouldn’t be able to, usually I’m at school or practice. I try not to worry too much; I’m too young so I certainly can’t affect anything. Everyone should have a chance to survive though. People need to worry about others besides themselves, there’s 7 billion people in the world.”
